WM in Waco

More news of relocating associates:

Already, three displaced Gulf Coast Wal-Mart employees are back to work in Waco area stores.

In fact, when a displaced employee applied at a Waco Wal-Mart, he was given a job and a check for $1,000, no questions asked...

Officials at Wal-Mart say they're just doing there part to help a member of the Wal-Mart family.

i work at a wal mart in a suburb of york pa. i feel sorry for the people of hurricane katrina but we were called into a meeting thursday night we were advised that we were going to be doing cashier work, cart pushing, maintenance work among other things because they say they can not afford to pay the people that were doing the jobs because they had too many stores to close due to the hurricane, just another dirty trick against it`s associates. my heart goes out to the hurricane victims but why should we suffer for wal marts dirty tricks?

What was your job before this realignment?

Did Wal-Mart fire people who were doing those jobs? Has WM lowered the number of hours of people doing those jobs?

Did your store manager say this? Your regional manager?

I'm sure WM executives want to know which people are marring their image...
