Wal-Mart No Way! has a superbly-executed, tremendously one-sided, fact-devoid, emotionally-tugging one minute commercial being aired on NY1. If you haven't seen it, you can do so here.
See also their poster with WM-branded spaceships attacking the city. They've even refined their message with "discriminating against women and immigrants"!

"Return on Shareholders Equity 2004: 21.3%"
How stupid of me to think that an ROE of 21% is a good thing. Gracious me! Of course, why didn't I realize that? We should rewrite the laws of this country to force all businesses to have much lower ROEs. In fact why don't we start nationalizing industries here in the U.S. to enforce this. Once we get everything nationalized then we can remove competition altogether and finally live in a utopian state.

So you see that you and and the anti-WM activists live in very different places! But what can you say, really, to somebody who wants poorer financial performance?

What all of you Pro Wal Mart people see is simply profit and ROI at any cost. That is exactly the point of the ad...Wal-Mart does cost us, our society, our state governments, and our culture a significant amount.
So you saved 25 cents on your underwear purchase. What did that do to jobs here in the U.S., and small businesses, and neighborhoods?
But most of the people who write and respond to posts on this site have all heard it before, and no matter how many facts, studies, and personal accounts are thrown at you, Wal-Mart's blatantly biased "reports" and spin always win your support. Your loud cheers always go to WM, and your boos always go to anyone with any criticism.
Your blog is ostensibly here to present "both sides," but the bias is very cleary in the camp of Sam's minions.

Oh, come on, Kevin. If the "evidence" comes from Wal-Mart, you and the other cheerleaders here call it real, and accurate, and otherwise bless it.
If it comes from the Antis, you dismiss it outright.
The truth lies in the middle of that pile somewhere.
Anything else is bias. I freely admit to having a bias as well.
