The skinny: tax breaks are a small portion of business cost, but are a large chunk of revenue lost to local governments. The interview doesn't even touch on Wal-Mart, but it's critical to understand the role and size of tax subsidies doled out by politicians to other companies, to understand the size and impact of Wal-Mart's feeding at the trough.
